Title: Materials Data on NaF3 by Materials Project

Abstract

NaF3 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to twelve F atoms. There are four shorter (2.31 Å) and eight longer (2.78 Å) Na–F bond lengths. There are two inequivalent F sites. In the first F site, F is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Na atoms. In the second F site, F is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Na atoms.
