Title: Materials Data on RbGaH2 by Materials Project

Abstract

RbGaH2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Rb is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight H atoms. There are a spread of Rb–H bond distances ranging from 2.94–3.17 Å. Ga is bonded in a distorted water-like geometry to two H atoms. There is one shorter (1.67 Å) and one longer (1.69 Å) Ga–H bond length. There are two inequivalent H sites. In the first H site, H is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Rb and one Ga atom. In the second H site, H is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to four equivalent Rb and one Ga atom.
