Title: Materials Data on Hg3Au by Materials Project

Abstract

AuHg3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two AuHg3 sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Au is bonded in a hexagonal planar geometry to six equivalent Hg atoms. All Au–Hg bond lengths are 2.97 Å. Hg is bonded in a distorted hexagonal planar geometry to two equivalent Au and four equivalent Hg atoms. There are two shorter (2.96 Å) and two longer (2.99 Å) Hg–Hg bond lengths.
