Title: Materials Data on LuIO by Materials Project

Abstract

LuOI crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of one LuOI sheet oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Lu3+ is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent O2- and four equivalent I1- atoms. All Lu–O bond lengths are 2.20 Å. All Lu–I bond lengths are 3.34 Å. O2- is bonded to four equivalent Lu3+ atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and edge-sharing OLu4 tetrahedra. I1- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Lu3+ atoms.
