Title: Materials Data on ScAu3 by Materials Project

Abstract

Au3Sc is Uranium Silicide-like structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sc3+ is bonded to twelve equivalent Au1- atoms to form a mixture of corner and face-sharing ScAu12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (2.97 Å) and six longer (2.98 Å) Sc–Au bond lengths. Au1- is bonded in a distorted see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Sc3+ atoms.
