Abstract
Mg2LuSm is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Lu and four equivalent Sm atoms. All Mg–Lu bond lengths are 3.28 Å. All Mg–Sm bond lengths are 3.28 Å. Lu is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Mg atoms. Sm is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Mg atoms.
