Title: Materials Data on Ba2Mg(BO3)2 by Materials Project

Abstract

Ba2Mg(BO3)2 crystallizes in the trigonal R-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ba2+ is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine equivalent O2- atoms. There are six shorter (2.77 Å) and three longer (3.04 Å) Ba–O bond lengths. Mg2+ is bonded in an octahedral geometry to six equivalent O2- atoms. All Mg–O bond lengths are 2.15 Å. B3+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three equivalent O2- atoms. All B–O bond lengths are 1.40 Å. O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ba2+, one Mg2+, and one B3+ atom.
