Title: Materials Data on Eu3Sn by Materials Project

Abstract

Eu3Sn is beta Cu3Ti-like structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu is bonded in a distorted see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Sn atoms. There are two shorter (3.59 Å) and two longer (3.73 Å) Eu–Sn bond lengths. Sn is bonded to twelve equivalent Eu atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing SnEu12 cuboctahedra.
