Title: Materials Data on DyMgSn by Materials Project

Abstract

MgDySn crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Sn atoms. All Mg–Sn bond lengths are 3.08 Å. Dy is bonded to five equivalent Sn atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and corner-sharing DySn5 square pyramids. There are one shorter (3.14 Å) and four longer (3.15 Å) Dy–Sn bond lengths. Sn is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Mg and five equivalent Dy atoms.
