Title: Materials Data on EuMgGe by Materials Project

Abstract

MgEuGe crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg is bonded to four equivalent Ge atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and edge-sharing MgGe4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Mg–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.80–2.92 Å. Eu is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Ge atoms. There are a spread of Eu–Ge bond distances ranging from 3.18–3.28 Å. Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Mg and five equivalent Eu atoms.
