Title: Materials Data on CeGa3 by Materials Project

Abstract

CeGa3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce is bonded to twelve equivalent Ga atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and face-sharing CeGa12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (3.09 Å) and six longer (3.21 Å) Ce–Ga bond lengths. Ga is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ce and six equivalent Ga atoms. All Ga–Ga bond lengths are 2.80 Å.
