Title: Materials Data on SeI2 by Materials Project

Abstract

SeI2 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4_2/mnm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two SeI2 ribbons oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Se is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent I atoms. All Se–I bond lengths are 2.82 Å. I is bonded in an L-shaped geometry to two equivalent Se atoms.
