Title: Materials Data on LaSeF by Materials Project

Abstract

LaSeF crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La3+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to six equivalent Se2- and three equivalent F1- atoms. All La–Se bond lengths are 3.20 Å. All La–F bond lengths are 2.45 Å. Se2- is bonded to six equivalent La3+ and six equivalent F1- atoms to form a mixture of edge and face-sharing SeLa6F6 cuboctahedra. All Se–F bond lengths are 3.20 Å. F1- is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three equivalent La3+ and six equivalent Se2- atoms.
