Title: Materials Data on UGeO4 by Materials Project

Abstract

UGeO4 is Zircon-like structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1/a space group. The structure is three-dimensional. U4+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent O2- atoms. There are four shorter (2.34 Å) and four longer (2.40 Å) U–O bond lengths. Ge4+ is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four equivalent O2- atoms. All Ge–O bond lengths are 1.80 Å. O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to two equivalent U4+ and one Ge4+ atom.
