Materials Data on NaLiO by Materials Project
Abstract
NaLiO crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na1+ is bonded to four equivalent O2- atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and edge-sharing NaO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.34–2.45 Å. Li1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent O2- atoms. Both Li–O bond lengths are 1.81 Å. O2- is bonded to four equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent Li1+ atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and edge-sharing ONa4Li2 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 8–27°.
