Title: Materials Data on GdYO2 by Materials Project

Abstract

GdYO2 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Gd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent O atoms. Both Gd–O bond lengths are 2.23 Å. Y is bonded to six equivalent O atoms to form distorted edge-sharing YO6 octahedra. All Y–O bond lengths are 2.34 Å. O is bonded to one Gd and three equivalent Y atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing OGdY3 tetrahedra.
