Materials Data on CoHO2 by Materials Project
Abstract
CoOOH crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Co3+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form edge-sharing CoO6 octahedra. All Co–O bond lengths are 2.02 Å. H1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent O2- atoms. Both H–O bond lengths are 1.21 Å. O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Co3+ and one H1+ atom.
