Title: Materials Data on Ba2Hg by Materials Project

Abstract

HgBa2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two HgBa2 sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Ba is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Hg atoms. All Ba–Hg bond lengths are 3.62 Å. Hg is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Ba atoms.
