Title: Materials Data on BaSbPt by Materials Project

Abstract

BaPtSb is hexagonal omega structure-derived structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P-6m2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ba is bonded to six equivalent Pt and six equivalent Sb atoms to form a mixture of edge and face-sharing BaSb6Pt6 cuboctahedra. All Ba–Pt bond lengths are 3.64 Å. All Ba–Sb bond lengths are 3.64 Å. Pt is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Ba and three equivalent Sb atoms. All Pt–Sb bond lengths are 2.66 Å. Sb is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Ba and three equivalent Pt atoms.
