Abstract

Eu2PdH4 crystallizes in the triclinic P1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are eight inequivalent Eu sites. In the first Eu site, Eu is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven H atoms. There are a spread of Eu–H bond distances ranging from 2.63–2.91 Å. In the second Eu site, Eu is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven H atoms. There are a spread of Eu–H bond distances ranging from 2.63–2.90 Å. In the third Eu site, Eu is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven H atoms. There are a spread of Eu–H bond distances ranging from 2.63–2.91 Å. In the fourth Eu site, Eu is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven H atoms. There are a spread of Eu–H bond distances ranging from 2.62–2.90 Å. In the fifth Eu site, Eu is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine H atoms. There are a spread of Eu–H bond distances ranging from 2.46–2.78 Å. In the sixth Eu site, Eu is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine H atoms. There are a spread of Eu–H bond distances ranging from 2.46–2.78 Å. In the third Pd site, Pd is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four H atoms. There are a spread of Pd–H bond distances ranging from 1.76–1.81 Å. In the fourth Pd site, Pd is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four H atoms. There are a spread of Pd–H bond distances ranging from 1.76–1.82 Å. There are sixteen inequivalent H sites. In the first H site, H is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four Eu and one Pd atom. In the second H site, H is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four Eu and one Pd atom. In the third H site, H is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four Eu and one Pd atom. In the fourth H site, H is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four Eu and one Pd atom. In the fifth H site, H is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four Eu and one Pd atom. In the sixth H site, H is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four Eu and one Pd atom. In the seventh H site, H is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four Eu and one Pd atom. In the eighth H site, H is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four Eu and one Pd atom. In the ninth H site, H is bonded to four Eu and one Pd atom to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing HEu4Pd trigonal bipyramids. In the tenth H site, H is bonded to four Eu and one Pd atom to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing HEu4Pd trigonal bipyramids. In the eleventh H site, H is bonded to four Eu and one Pd atom to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing HEu4Pd trigonal bipyramids. In the twelfth H site, H is bonded to four Eu and one Pd atom to form a mixture of distorted edge and corner-sharing HEu4Pd trigonal bipyramids. In the thirteenth H site, H is bonded to four Eu and one Pd atom to form a mixture of distorted edge and corner-sharing HEu4Pd square pyramids. In the fourteenth H site, H is bonded to four Eu and one Pd atom to form a mixture of distorted edge and corner-sharing HEu4Pd square pyramids.
