Materials Data on LiNiO2 by Materials Project
Abstract
LiNiO2 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6/mmm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of one LiNiO2 ribbon oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Li1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent O2- atoms. Both Li–O bond lengths are 1.77 Å. Ni3+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent O2- atoms. Both Ni–O bond lengths are 1.69 Å. O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Li1+ and one Ni3+ atom.
