Materials Data on Bi by Materials Project
Abstract
Bi crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pmma space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of one Bi sheet oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. Bi is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Bi atoms. There are two shorter (3.08 Å) and two longer (3.23 Å) Bi–Bi bond lengths.
