Materials Data on LaN by Materials Project
Abstract
LaN is Wurtzite structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3mc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La3+ is bonded to four equivalent N3- atoms to form corner-sharing LaN4 tetrahedra. There are three shorter (2.44 Å) and one longer (2.46 Å) La–N bond lengths. N3- is bonded to four equivalent La3+ atoms to form corner-sharing NLa4 tetrahedra.
