Title: Materials Data on La3U(ClO2)3 by Materials Project

Abstract

ULa3(O2Cl)3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. U6+ is bonded in a distorted pentagonal pyramidal geometry to six equivalent O2- atoms. All U–O bond lengths are 2.10 Å. La3+ is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent O2- and four equivalent Cl1- atoms. There are a spread of La–O bond distances ranging from 2.44–2.74 Å. There are a spread of La–Cl bond distances ranging from 3.07–3.14 Å. O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to one U6+ and three equivalent La3+ atoms. Cl1- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent La3+ atoms.
