Title: Materials Data on SnO by Materials Project

Abstract

SnO is lead oxide structured and crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmc2_1 space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two SnO sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Sn2+ is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent O2- atoms. All Sn–O bond lengths are 2.26 Å. O2- is bonded to four equivalent Sn2+ atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing OSn4 tetrahedra.
