Title: Materials Data on Na2PtC2 by Materials Project

Abstract

Na2PtC2 crystallizes in the trigonal P-3m1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na1+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Pt2- and three equivalent C atoms. All Na–Pt bond lengths are 2.99 Å. All Na–C bond lengths are 2.69 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to six equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent C atoms. Both Pt–C bond lengths are 1.98 Å. C is bonded in a linear geometry to three equivalent Na1+, one Pt2-, and one C atom. The C–C bond length is 1.27 Å.
