Title: Materials Data on Eu2Sn5Au2 by Materials Project

Abstract

Eu2Au2Sn5 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Eu sites. In the first Eu site, Eu is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to three Au and eleven Sn atoms. There are one shorter (3.34 Å) and two longer (3.40 Å) Eu–Au bond lengths. There are a spread of Eu–Sn bond distances ranging from 3.35–3.71 Å. In the second Eu site, Eu is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to four Au and ten Sn atoms. There are two shorter (3.35 Å) and two longer (3.54 Å) Eu–Au bond lengths. There are a spread of Eu–Sn bond distances ranging from 3.38–3.79 Å. There are two inequivalent Au sites. In the first Au site, Au is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four Eu and five Sn atoms. There are a spread of Au–Sn bond distances ranging from 2.75–2.94 Å. In the second Au site, Au is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to three Eu and six Sn atoms. There are a spread of Au–Sn bond distances ranging from 2.86–3.06 Å. There are five inequivalent Sn sites. In the first Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to four Eu and three equivalentmore » Au atoms. In the second Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to four Eu, one Au, and two equivalent Sn atoms. Both Sn–Sn bond lengths are 3.33 Å. In the third Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to four Eu and one Au atom. In the fourth Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to four Eu, two equivalent Au, and five Sn atoms. There are one shorter (3.04 Å) and two longer (3.21 Å) Sn–Sn bond lengths. In the fifth Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to five Eu, four Au, and one Sn atom.« less
