Title: Materials Data on La3GaBr3 by Materials Project

Abstract

La3Br3Ga crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La is bonded to two equivalent Ga and four equivalent Br atoms to form a mixture of corner and edge-sharing LaGa2Br4 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. Both La–Ga bond lengths are 3.07 Å. All La–Br bond lengths are 3.07 Å. Ga is bonded to six equivalent La atoms to form corner-sharing GaLa6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. Br is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent La atoms.
