Title: Materials Data on CuBr2 by Materials Project

Abstract

CuBr2 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/m space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two CuBr2 ribbons oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. Cu2+ is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Br1- atoms. All Cu–Br bond lengths are 2.42 Å. Br1- is bonded in an L-shaped geometry to two equivalent Cu2+ atoms.
