Materials Data on Nd4Bi3 by Materials Project
Abstract
Nd4Bi3 crystallizes in the cubic I-43d space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Nd is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Bi atoms. There are three shorter (3.24 Å) and three longer (3.48 Å) Nd–Bi bond lengths. Bi is bonded to eight equivalent Nd atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner, edge, and face-sharing BiNd8 hexagonal bipyramids.
