Title: Materials Data on Ce5Ge2Ru by Materials Project

Abstract

Ce5RuGe2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are four inequivalent Ce sites. In the first Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Ru and three equivalent Ge atoms. There are one shorter (2.74 Å) and one longer (3.07 Å) Ce–Ru bond lengths. There are a spread of Ce–Ge bond distances ranging from 3.21–3.33 Å. In the second Ce site, Ce is bonded to one Ru and four equivalent Ge atoms to form distorted edge-sharing CeGe4Ru square pyramids. The Ce–Ru bond length is 3.11 Å. There are two shorter (3.05 Å) and two longer (3.07 Å) Ce–Ge bond lengths. In the third Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to one Ru and four equivalent Ge atoms. The Ce–Ru bond length is 2.70 Å. There are two shorter (3.12 Å) and two longer (3.16 Å) Ce–Ge bond lengths. In the fourth Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to one Ru and four equivalent Ge atoms. The Ce–Ru bond length is 2.82 Å. There are two shorter (3.10 Å) and two longer (3.13 Å) Ce–Ge bond lengths. Ru is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to sevenmore » Ce atoms. Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine Ce atoms.« less
