Title: Materials Data on Ga3Co by Materials Project

Abstract

CoGa3 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4_2/mnm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Co is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight Ga atoms. There are a spread of Co–Ga bond distances ranging from 2.37–2.49 Å. There are two inequivalent Ga sites. In the first Ga site, Ga is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to two equivalent Co atoms. In the second Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Co atoms.
