Title: Materials Data on GdIn3 by Materials Project

Abstract

GdIn3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Gd is bonded to twelve equivalent In atoms to form GdIn12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent GdIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent InGd4In8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent GdIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent InGd4In8 cuboctahedra. All Gd–In bond lengths are 3.30 Å. In is bonded to four equivalent Gd and eight equivalent In atoms to form distorted InGd4In8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent InGd4In8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent GdIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent InGd4In8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent GdIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent InGd4In8 cuboctahedra. All In–In bond lengths are 3.30 Å.
