Title: Materials Data on ThIn3 by Materials Project

Abstract

ThIn3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Th is bonded to twelve equivalent In atoms to form ThIn12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent ThIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent InTh4In8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent ThIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent InTh4In8 cuboctahedra. All Th–In bond lengths are 3.36 Å. In is bonded to four equivalent Th and eight equivalent In atoms to form distorted InTh4In8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent InTh4In8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent ThIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent InTh4In8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent ThIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent InTh4In8 cuboctahedra. All In–In bond lengths are 3.36 Å.
