Title: Materials Data on Yb2MnSe4 by Materials Project

Abstract

MnYb2Se4 is Spinel structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fd-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb3+ is bonded to six equivalent Se2- atoms to form YbSe6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent MnSe4 tetrahedra and edges with six equivalent YbSe6 octahedra. All Yb–Se bond lengths are 2.93 Å. Mn2+ is bonded to four equivalent Se2- atoms to form MnSe4 tetrahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent YbSe6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 53°. All Mn–Se bond lengths are 2.38 Å. Se2- is bonded in a rectangular see-saw-like geometry to three equivalent Yb3+ and one Mn2+ atom.
