Title: Materials Data on YbAlAu by Materials Project

Abstract

YbAuAl crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Au and six equivalent Al atoms. There are a spread of Yb–Au bond distances ranging from 3.01–3.16 Å. There are a spread of Yb–Al bond distances ranging from 3.14–3.40 Å. Au is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Yb and four equivalent Al atoms. There are a spread of Au–Al bond distances ranging from 2.66–2.75 Å. Al is bonded to six equivalent Yb and four equivalent Au atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner, edge, and face-sharing AlYb6Au4 tetrahedra.
