Title: Materials Data on MnPt3 by Materials Project

Abstract

MnPt3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mn2+ is bonded to twelve equivalent Pt+0.67- atoms to form MnPt12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent MnPt12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent PtMn4Pt8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent MnPt12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent PtMn4Pt8 cuboctahedra. All Mn–Pt bond lengths are 2.78 Å. Pt+0.67- is bonded to four equivalent Mn2+ and eight equivalent Pt+0.67- atoms to form distorted PtMn4Pt8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent PtMn4Pt8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent MnPt12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent PtMn4Pt8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent MnPt12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent PtMn4Pt8 cuboctahedra. All Pt–Pt bond lengths are 2.78 Å.
