Title: Materials Data on LaPt3 by Materials Project

Abstract

LaPt3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La2+ is bonded to twelve equivalent Pt+0.67- atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing LaPt12 cuboctahedra. All La–Pt bond lengths are 3.00 Å. Pt+0.67- is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to four equivalent La2+ atoms.
