Materials Data on YbSbPd by Materials Project
Abstract
YbPdSb is half-Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic F-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Pd and four equivalent Sb atoms. All Yb–Pd bond lengths are 2.97 Å. All Yb–Sb bond lengths are 2.97 Å. Pd is bonded to four equivalent Yb atoms to form PdYb4 tetrahedra that share corners with four equivalent SbYb4 tetrahedra, corners with twelve equivalent PdYb4 tetrahedra, and edges with six equivalent SbYb4 tetrahedra. Sb is bonded to four equivalent Yb atoms to form SbYb4 tetrahedra that share corners with four equivalent PdYb4 tetrahedra, corners with twelve equivalent SbYb4 tetrahedra, and edges with six equivalent PdYb4 tetrahedra.
