Title: Materials Data on Cd3In by Materials Project

Abstract

Cd3In is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cd is bonded to eight equivalent Cd and four equivalent In atoms to form CdCd8In4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent CdCd8In4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent InCd12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent CdCd8In4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent InCd12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent CdCd8In4 cuboctahedra. All Cd–Cd bond lengths are 3.25 Å. All Cd–In bond lengths are 3.25 Å. In is bonded to twelve equivalent Cd atoms to form InCd12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent InCd12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent CdCd8In4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent InCd12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent CdCd8In4 cuboctahedra.
