Title: Materials Data on SiAu3 by Materials Project

Abstract

Au3Si crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Au+1.33+ is bonded in a see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Si4- atoms. There are two shorter (2.89 Å) and two longer (2.92 Å) Au–Si bond lengths. Si4- is bonded to twelve equivalent Au+1.33+ atoms to form a mixture of corner and face-sharing SiAu12 cuboctahedra.
