Materials Data on Cu2GeO4 by Materials Project
Abstract
Cu2GeO4 is Spinel structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1/amd space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cu2+ is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent O2- atoms. All Cu–O bond lengths are 1.95 Å. Ge4+ is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four equivalent O2- atoms. All Ge–O bond lengths are 1.79 Å. O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Cu2+ and one Ge4+ atom.
