Abstract

W25O73 is alpha Rhenium trioxide-like structured and crystallizes in the monoclinic P2/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are thirteen inequivalent W sites. In the first W site, W is bonded to six O atoms to form corner-sharing WO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 0–6°. There are a spread of W–O bond distances ranging from 1.86–2.04 Å. In the second W site, W is bonded to six O atoms to form corner-sharing WO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 1–6°. There are a spread of W–O bond distances ranging from 1.89–2.01 Å. In the third W site, W is bonded to six O atoms to form corner-sharing WO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 2–10°. There are a spread of W–O bond distances ranging from 1.84–2.09 Å. In the fourth W site, W is bonded to six O atoms to form corner-sharing WO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 1–10°. There are a spread of W–O bond distances ranging from 1.84–2.09 Å.
