Title: Materials Data on CuRe2Cl by Materials Project

Abstract

Re2CuCl is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Re is bonded to four equivalent Cu and four equivalent Cl atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge, corner, and face-sharing ReCu4Cl4 tetrahedra. All Re–Cu bond lengths are 2.62 Å. All Re–Cl bond lengths are 2.62 Å. Cu is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Re and six equivalent Cl atoms. All Cu–Cl bond lengths are 3.02 Å. Cl is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Re and six equivalent Cu atoms.
