Title: Materials Data on Al23B50 by Materials Project

Abstract

Al23B50 crystallizes in the triclinic P-1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are twelve inequivalent Al sites. In the first Al site, Al is bonded to twelve B atoms to form a mixture of edge and face-sharing AlB12 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Al–B bond distances ranging from 2.31–2.47 Å. In the second Al site, Al is bonded to twelve B atoms to form a mixture of edge and face-sharing AlB12 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Al–B bond distances ranging from 2.31–2.48 Å. In the third Al site, Al is bonded to twelve B atoms to form a mixture of edge and face-sharing AlB12 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Al–B bond distances ranging from 2.34–2.42 Å. In the fourth Al site, Al is bonded to twelve B atoms to form a mixture of edge and face-sharing AlB12 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Al–B bond distances ranging from 2.29–2.47 Å.
