Title: Materials Data on SCl by Materials Project

Abstract

SCl crystallizes in the orthorhombic Fdd2 space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of sixteen disulfur dichloride molecules. there are two inequivalent S sites. In the first S site, S is bonded in a distorted water-like geometry to one S and one Cl atom. The S–S bond length is 1.93 Å. The S–Cl bond length is 2.11 Å. In the second S site, S is bonded in a distorted water-like geometry to one S and one Cl atom. The S–Cl bond length is 2.11 Å. There are two inequivalent Cl sites. In the first Cl site, Cl is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one S atom. In the second Cl site, Cl is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one S atom.
