Title: Materials Data on La by Materials Project

Abstract

La is alpha La structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent La sites. In the first La site, La is bonded to twelve La atoms to form a mixture of corner, edge, and face-sharing LaLa12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (3.72 Å) and six longer (3.77 Å) La–La bond lengths. In the second La site, La is bonded to twelve La atoms to form a mixture of corner, edge, and face-sharing LaLa12 cuboctahedra. All La–La bond lengths are 3.77 Å.
