Title: Materials Data on UIn3 by Materials Project

Abstract

UIn3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. U is bonded to twelve equivalent In atoms to form UIn12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent UIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent InU4In8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent UIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent InU4In8 cuboctahedra. All U–In bond lengths are 3.29 Å. In is bonded to four equivalent U and eight equivalent In atoms to form distorted InU4In8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent InU4In8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent UIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent InU4In8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent UIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent InU4In8 cuboctahedra. All In–In bond lengths are 3.29 Å.
