Materials Data on YbAl3 by Materials Project
Abstract
YbAl3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded to twelve equivalent Al atoms to form a mixture of corner and face-sharing YbAl12 cuboctahedra. All Yb–Al bond lengths are 3.03 Å. Al is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Yb atoms.
