Title: Materials Data on LaTeAs by Materials Project

Abstract

LaAsTe crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La3+ is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent As1- and five equivalent Te2- atoms. There are a spread of La–As bond distances ranging from 3.14–3.36 Å. There are a spread of La–Te bond distances ranging from 3.25–3.35 Å. As1- is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to four equivalent La3+ and two equivalent As1- atoms. Both As–As bond lengths are 2.66 Å. Te2- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five equivalent La3+ atoms.
